My first day @ IBM

The first day of summer internship had been pretty exciting. The office is almost 15 km away from the place I stay right now. So it was quite a journey from my place. The best thing about it is that it is almost isolated from pune and the surroundings are pretty picturesque. The entire IBM is placed in the Ozone buildings and the entire architecture is quite a sight. That means an entire gallery of IBM pics :)

We had a proper HR induction and orientation on reporting. Got an IBM t-shirt and other stuff. We had our salary accounts opened too.

The entire IBM insipite of being such a huge organization, has all its processes in place and had standardized every imaginable process to such an extent that, as soon as we were assigned our employee codes...our cubicles, machines, email ID's, telephones, lockers, departments heads, ID tags and everything got assigned in an hr.

This is my first experience of a work-place and it had been amazing so far. Hope the same continues for the rest of my stay here.

The most important thing..My summer project would be assigned tomorrow. So keeping my fingers crossed :)
