Robot Astrology ...

The other day we decided to take our Accent to a temple for its pooja and we reached there by 3:30 . Now the temple is generally closed between 3pm – 5pm so we decided to finish off with the car pooja first and by the time it got over it was 4:30 and we had full 30 min before the temple doors opened for us. I was hoping for someone to call me so that I could while away the time.

At this instant my brother decides to try this so-called-computer-astrology. Now here my technical brain starts smiling …” Dude , you gotto be very dumb to try it out “ ..thats because , if you look at it carefully …you’ll see that all you need to do is to put on the earphones and the guy presses some weird switches and voila!! You can straightaway here your future read out to you by some sibyllic female voice. So you see…

# You hear something that has already been recorded and kept in the robot toy

# It doesn’t take any dynamic values ( excuse my tech lingo :P ) like your name , date of birth , your sunsign or any damn thing that can be professed to determine your future.

# So, technically you’re listening to a pre-recorded static stuff which is merely decided by the switches the guy’s gonna press.

# The least important one -> It costs just Rs.2 ..I know things are pretty cheap in
India but then this cheap means that you’re definitely not gonna get what you’re paying for.

So he comes back and tells me that its 95% true and he was amazed with the way he could correlate it to his life. Now this invoked a natural curiosity in me. I wanted to give him my technical explanation but then decided to try it myself before saying anything.

As soon as I put on the headphones, the guy presses a switch and I could hear rewinding of tapes and the usual click-sounds you hear in a taperecorder while playing it. Suddenly a female voice starts off saying that according to the scanning it has done ( forgot to mention ..there were a couple of meters like your fuel indicators which keep fluctuating before the tape begins.) my lucky numbers were 2, 6 and 14 and that I’d live upto 80 yrs and some serious stuff of which every word was true. I was shocked ..First of all what did it scan and how and when ?? Secondly how on earth can the robot have a tape that talks stuff which was 100% percent relevant to me. This really freaked me out . So I decided to check its veracity by hearing it again. Now this time I was very watchful and the guy pressed the same switch . Again I hear the same sounds and the tape starts. Interestingly this time it was a different voice…and different content but…some interesting facts.

Both the voices told the same stuff in different words and voices . The only thing which had a conflict was concerned about my life-span . While one confirmed it to be 80yrs , the other confirmed it to be more than 75.And both told me the same lucky no.s . Both voices concorded about my pathetic money-management and how emotional I was and lottsa other stuff (mebbe later )…

Unbelievable ?? Believe it…(Yes , I really want to sound like the guy who hosts the Ripleys show on AXN )

So next time you see this thing do try it out and let me know …how true it was . If you think you can explain the funda behind this then do let me know…Till then I recommend everyone to try it out…
